Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.80%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.80% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 4.83% or 0.70 points to trade at 15.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) added 4.73% or 0.06 points to end at 1.24 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 2.99% or 0.01 points to 0.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which fell 1.66% or 0.09 points to trade at 5.33 at the close. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) declined 1.45% or 0.14 points to end at 9.53 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 1.13% or 0.06 points to 5.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 74 to 46 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.61% or 16.25 to $2,668.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.49% or 1.05 to hit $71.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.42% or 1.04 to trade at $74.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 100.31.
