Indonesia stocks higher at close of trade; IDX Composite Index up 0.62%
Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 0.62% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Chitose Internasional Tbk (JK:CINT), which rose 34.51% or 49.00 points to trade at 191.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Pelangi Indah Canindo Tbk (JK:PICO) added 34.38% or 33.00 points to end at 129.00 and Maming Enam Sembilan Mineral Tbk PT (JK:AKSI) was up 24.79% or 60.00 points to 302.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Express Transindo Utama Tbk (JK:TAXI), which fell 20.00% or 1.00 points to trade at 4.00 at the close. Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas Msig PT (JK:LIFE) declined 16.60% or 1,000.00 points to end at 5,025.00 and Minna Padi Investama Tbk (JK:PADI) was down 10.00% or 1.00 points to 9.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 309 to 298 and 227 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas Msig PT (JK:LIFE) fell to 3-years lows; losing 16.60% or 1,000.00 to 5,025.00. Shares in Maming Enam Sembilan Mineral Tbk PT (JK:AKSI) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 24.79% or 60.00 to 302.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.48% or 0.33 to $69.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.48% or 0.35 to hit $73.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 4.40 to trade at $2,547.50 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.04% to 15,405.15, while AUD/IDR fell 0.10% to 10,370.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.91.
