Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.11%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Leasing & Factoring and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.11%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CVKMD), which rose 5.05% or 15.25 points to trade at 317.00 at the close. Meanwhile, MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) added 4.56% or 16.25 points to end at 373.00 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 4.20% or 1.96 points to 48.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which fell 1.97% or 10.50 points to trade at 523.50 at the close. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) declined 1.36% or 6.25 points to end at 455.00 and Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS:IEYHO) was down 0.60% or 0.07 points to 11.58.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 434 to 130 and 18 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.70% or 18.69 to $2,691.09 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.89% or 0.65 to hit $73.97 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.68 to trade at $76.84 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 35.33, while EUR/TRY rose 0.27% to 36.50.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 108.95.
