Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 1.67%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.67%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 3.78% or 0.21 points to trade at 5.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 1.89% or 0.25 points to end at 13.45 and Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr) was up 1.27% or 0.04 points to 3.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr), which fell 4.09% or 0.50 points to trade at 11.72 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 3.87% or 0.15 points to end at 3.73 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was down 3.80% or 0.22 points to 5.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 104 to 20 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) rose to all time highs; rising 1.89% or 0.25 to 13.45.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.67% or 18.35 to $2,757.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.88% or 1.32 to hit $71.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.70% or 1.26 to trade at $75.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 103.84.
