Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 1.37%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 1.37%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which rose 4.02% or 1.01 points to trade at 26.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 3.13% or 0.40 points to end at 13.20 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) was up 3.09% or 0.23 points to 7.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which fell 3.95% or 0.60 points to trade at 14.60 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 3.94% or 0.01 points to end at 0.32 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 1.75% or 0.01 points to 0.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 44 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.94% or 0.01 to 0.32. Shares in Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 3.09% or 0.23 to 7.68.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.25 to $2,679.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.76% or 0.56 to hit $74.27 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.70% or 0.54 to trade at $78.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 102.23.
