Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.54%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.54%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 5.70% or 0.27 points to trade at 4.99 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.50% or 13.50 points to end at 553.50 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was up 1.66% or 2.30 points to 140.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which fell 2.92% or 4.10 points to trade at 136.10 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 0.45% or 0.70 points to end at 155.50 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) was down 0.40% or 0.30 points to 75.10.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 172 to 111 and 28 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.89% or 0.61 to $68.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.89% or 0.64 to hit $72.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 12.40 to trade at $2,655.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 11.76, while USD/NOK rose 0.34% to 10.54.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 100.22.
