Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 1.14%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Premia AE (AT:PREMr), which rose 4.17% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) added 2.35% or 0.08 points to end at 3.27 and Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) was up 1.72% or 0.16 points to 9.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which fell 7.11% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.77 at the close. Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) declined 4.46% or 1.25 points to end at 26.75 and Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr) was down 3.67% or 0.59 points to 15.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 93 to 34 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Premia AE (AT:PREMr) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.17% or 0.05 to 1.25. Shares in Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 7.11% or 0.14 to 1.77.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.46% or 12.20 to $2,655.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.88% or 0.60 to hit $68.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.64 to trade at $72.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 100.26.
