Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.43%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr), which rose 2.65% or 0.85 points to trade at 32.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 2.40% or 0.12 points to end at 5.12 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was up 2.08% or 0.20 points to 9.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which fell 2.06% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.91 at the close. Alumil (AT:ALMr) declined 1.58% or 0.05 points to end at 2.80 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was down 1.42% or 0.08 points to 5.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 53 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 6.05 to $2,602.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.39% or 0.96 to hit $69.98 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.82 to trade at $73.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 100.53.
